This project aims to rehabilitate the Costa d'en Blanes water reservoir in order to improve water supply quality in the municipalities of Andratx and Calvià. The reservoir has a capacity of 21,800 m³ and has structural deficiencies which, if not repaired, could compromise its safety and efficiency. This action will extend the useful life of the current reservoir, avoid the construction of a new one and optimise the area's water resources.

The Costa d'en Blanes reservoir was built in 2001 and plays an essential role in supplying drinking water to the municipalities of Andratx and Calvià. It receives water from the Son Pacs reservoir (Palma) or directly from sources such as the S'Estremera aquifer and Sa Font de sa Costera. However, serious structural deficiencies have been detected in recent years, mainly in the roof joists and pillars. This situation jeopardises the integrity of the reservoir and therefore its ability to regulate water supply.
Structural repairs will be carried out to remedy the deficiencies detected. Works will include the rehabilitation of the joists and other damaged elements, as well as waterproofing of the walls to prevent water seepage. These actions will restore the reservoir to its original state and ensure its long-term durability.
Moreover, rehabilitation will not require the occupation of new land as the existing space will be used. This contributes to sustainability and reduces environmental impact. The quality of the water supplied will also be improved by reducing losses caused by structural deficiencies in the existing reservoir.
Rehabilitation of the Costa d'en Blanes reservoir will not only guarantee a continuous supply of drinking water, but will also contribute to the preservation of the natural environment.
Project focused on climatic issues in urban public spaces in the archipelago.
