The project

Cases de Ses Collidores is a two-story building, crowned with two chimneys. The sinks that were used for washing and that are currently in a state of considerable disrepair, partially due to the passage of time, are located at the side underneath the porch.

This project aims to restore the Cases de Ses Collidores in Planícia and to make it accessible to the public as a mountain refuge, which would be included in the Ministry of the Environment’s Leisure Areas Network (XALEN).

The refuge would be a magnificent starting point for walking routes around the estate. It would also be of major interest to hikers and strategic in the Ruta de Piedra en Seco (Dry Stone Route) GR221, thanks to how the estate is also a connecting point to the routes that lead to Estellencs, Banyalbufar and Esporles.

This would therefore fulfil a dual objective:

1. Preventing the loss of a heritage site

2. Bringing the estate back to life, proving a suitable space to the public to allow them to get to know and appreciate the natural environment and the Mediterranean landscape.

The adaptation of these houses to provide accommodation for groups would involve the maintenance of the existing structure, respecting the interior distribution, changing the roofs and protecting the facades to allow for the building to be refurbished while maintaining its original structure. Certain ethnological elements would be maintained.

The refuge would have a total built area of 329 m 2 spread over the ground floor (with living room, dining room, kitchen, reception, entrance, storage room, adapted bedroom and bathroom, and laundry ) and first floor with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The refuge would be able to cater for 10-12 people, as well as a space for service personnel.
