Building 203 of the Parc Insular de Serveis (public service industrial park), in the Sa Coma area, will be renovated to become a student hall of residence with a minimum capacity for 50 students. The action addresses the increasing concentration of training centres in the area and the need to accommodate students who move to the area to undertake specialised studies.

The Parc Insular de Serveis in Sa Coma has, in recent years, established itself as a strategic location for vocational training in Ibiza. The reconversion of former military pavilions into educational facilities has led to a hub that already includes the School of Hospitality and future centres such as the Official Language School or the University School of Tourism.
With this concentration of academic offerings, a clear need has arisen: to equip the area with functional accommodation for students, both local and from other regions. In order to address this demand, building 203 is set to be renovated to become a future student hall of residence.
The building, which has a surface area of 1,300 square metres, will be adapted to offer a minimum of 50 places in both single and double rooms, as well as a kitchen-dining room, administrative areas, laundry room and outdoor spaces. The intervention entails the demolition of interior wall partitions, structural repair and the improvement of the building envelope, including the replacement of the roof and joinery.
The hall of residence aims to offer a modern and energy-efficient space, in line with today's standards of sustainability and comfort. This action will help to facilitate educational mobility and strengthen the positioning of the Parc Insular de Serveis as an educational hub. It is also in line with the promotion of academic tourism, one of the strategic segments identified in the plans to diversify and reduce the seasonality of the destination.
