This project involves expanding the water reservoir at the Santa Eulària del Riu desalination plant, as the current reservoir’s capacity is smaller than the plant’s production. An extra reservoir with a capacity of 5000 m3 will be built for municipal use.

The Santa Eulària des Riu desalination plant’s 10,000 m3 capacity water reservoir is smaller than its production capacity (15,000 m3/day), thus making it necessary to carry out works to expand its capacity.
The project presented aims to carry out work to expand the water reservoir at the desalination plant in order to adapt it to the Ocean Water Desalination Facility’s production capacity, resulting in an improved water supply service.
The subsequent purpose is the construction of an additional 5,000 m3 capacity reservoir, measuring 40x25 m on-site, with the same features as the ones currently in place. A valve chamber will also be installed that will house the reservoir's base intake. A chlorination system and a water recirculation pump will be installed in this valve chamber
There will be a "drawer" in the inside of the reservoir that will function as a water overflow for any water that does not remain inside the basin. This will be connected externally to the Ocean Water Desalination Facility (IDAM) reservoir drain collector.
