The project seeks to maintain and preserve the traditional landscape through the proper management of the agricultural sector, leading to the maintenance of the quality of the landscape and biological diversity. The objective is to avoid the abandonment of agricultural holdings as a result of their small territorial base and economic marginality.

The project aims to maintain and conserve the traditional landscape of the island of Ibiza through the correct management of the agricultural sector, while helping to maintain the quality of the landscape and biological diversity. The objective is to avoid abandoning agricultural farming as a result of its reduced territorial base and economic marginality, taking into account the context in which the present project is placed.
The agricultural sector is in clear regression: each year there is a reduction in the number of existing farms, the useful agricultural land and the number of animals that make up the livestock. All of this implies a clear abandonment and increasing environmental degradation of the natural environment, a decrease in biodiversity, the loss of social and cultural values, and a considerable increase in the risks of erosion and forest fires.
To avoid all these problems and risks, it is necessary to somehow reactivate the traditional agricultural activity of the island of Ibiza, not from a productive point of view, but rather with a clear aim of protecting and recovering Ibiza's natural environment and its agrobiodiversity. To do so, it is necessary to set up this project, in which a support plan shall be defined to achieve these objectives.
Therefore, it is about maintaining and preserving the traditional landscape of the island through the proper management of the agricultural sector so that, while the personality of the island is consolidated, environmental services are generated on the island's territory.
