The project is to remodel the promenade along the beachfront in Magaluf, based on the redevelopment of this public space of around 900 metres in length. The promenade will remain a pedestrian area, but infrastructure such as the lighting, drains and paving will be improved, and the promenade itself will be widened.

Renovating and modernising mature tourist areas is an inalienable objective in the framework of the new model of tourism to which the island of Mallorca aspires. This is a sustainable tourist model that is committed to quality rather than to quantity.
Therefore, the tourist area of Magaluf, in the municipality of Calvià, is in the midst of a renovation as a resort, and is currently leading the reconversion of the area as a quality product.
The remodelling and extension of the seafront promenade in Magaluf therefore forms part of that reconversion process being carried out in the area. This promenade was built in the 90s and is in need of improvement works.
These planned works will be to improve lighting, drainage and paving infrastructure, as well as to widen the promenade itself and other works on perpendicular sections.
The call will support regeneration, renaturation and sponge city projects
