The Balearic Islands Ministry of Education and Research is working to adapt education for young people with a specialisation programme. A project that must be undertaken by the authorities responsible for tourism and education.
Vocational teacher training, improving their qualifications, is essential for the future of students. It means accelerating the pace at which companies evolve.
The European Social Fund has assigned 200,000 euros per year to finance vocational teacher training. A total of 100 training courses for the 17 professional families that exist today. The goal is to offer 80 places for students and 20 places for specialised teachers.
Main objectives
Instil new testing methodologies in teachers.
Provide them with optimal technological resources.
Keep them abreast of trends and innovative practices in the productive sector.
Improve the language skills of the educational community.
Description
The project addresses a specific training programme for the new generations to enable them to make the transition from school to working life.
Adapted to the socio-economic environment, the actions aim to improve the quality of training linked to the tourism sector, promoting studies in high demand, improving student language skills, encouraging the development of intensive dual vocational training and promoting professional refresher courses.
The project also includes strategic actions to improve the infrastructures of the centres, which require investment in line with the production system.
