What does it consist of?
The project consists in the signaling of the cyclist routes of the island of Mallorca to provide them with clear signage, to promote the safety of cyclists, to promote sustainable tourism, to promote seasonalisation and occupation in low season, and to publicize heritage historical and cultural center of Mallorca.

The project
The project consists of providing bicycle routes with clear, useful, homogeneous and uniform signposting that will improve the current heterogeneous and confusing set-up. This project will also contribute to the diversification of the economic model of the island and, more specifically, promote off-season tourism through a product that can be developed in the low season. It will also encourage employment in the low season with the opening of accommodation facilities, specialised shops and workshops that support this type of tourism.
The project includes three types of signposting: general information boards, indicative signs (arrows) and complementary signs located at the start of large climbs, hills and mountains. It is worth pointing out that putting up these signs will have a positive effect on traffic, making it safer for cyclists, since it will allow different road users to see that they are also part of the cycling network.
The importance of this project lies in the fact that sustainable mobility and the use of bicycles as a safe and efficient means of transport or as a leisure or sporting activity, is not only one of the objectives included in the management tools of the island, but that Mallorca has also become a destination for this sport in recent years.
More than 120 specialised hotels and an entire commercial network of restaurants, workshops, shops, etc., support this type of tourism and make the island a unique place for cycling.
