With the new marquee, the public will be able to enjoy a more efficient, sustainable and multi-purpose facility, with a consequent optimisation of the space, in terms of capacity and type of events that can be held.

With the emergence of tourism in the area in the 1970s and 1980s, the first tourist areas and hotels were developed in Ibiza, mostly by the operators themselves. A complementary business fabric was created here in which nightlife and beach leisure dominated as a tourism model.
In recent years, the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, in line with its tourism promotion strategy, has focused its efforts on diversifying the tourist offer and the demand segments with the goal of mitigating the dependence on sun and sand and nightlife and, at the same time, breaking the marked seasonal nature of tourism.
The development of this conversion and modernisation project and all the actions it entails will, almost three decades after its creation, give way to a modern, cutting-edge and functional centre which, together with its location, connectivity, diversity and spaciousness, will ensure that Ibiza continues to be, even more so if possible, a benchmark in the MICE segment. On the other hand, having electricity and water saving measures, equipment with lower emissions and electricity consumption will transform the site into a more sustainable and environmentally friendly building.
Main objectives
The following interventions will be undertaken within the framework of the execution of the actions envisaged in the Modernisation Plan for the Ibiza Trade Fair Enclosure:
Supply and installation of a new, energy-efficient, air-conditioned and versatile marquee annexed to the fair facilities to accommodate different event topologies.
Extension of the electrical transformer, generator and installation of new switchboard
Installation of electric roller blinds. One of the strengths of the exhibition centre are the large windows that let in natural light.
Installation of 3 screens and 2 electronic LED totems.
Renovation of sound and lighting equipment.
Refurbishment and modernisation of toilets.
Renovation of part of the air-conditioning system and ducts.
Renovation of interior/exterior lighting.
