What does it consist of?

The main activities of the project are the construction of a new EBAR in the Port of Andratx, the reform of the discharge chamber of S'Arracó and conditioning of the access road to the same and, finally, the construction of new pipes of purified water and residual.

The project

The main actions of the project are to construct a new wastewater pumping stations in Port d'Andratx, renovate the s'Arracó discharge chamber and improve the access road and, finally, to lay new pipelines for purified and residual water.

At present, the execution of the work corresponding to the first phase of the project of the Extension and improvement of the Andratx WTP is being carried out, although to completely solve the problem of the sanitation system it is necessary to execute the second phase of the project which deals with the terrestrial wastewater pumping station and sewage pipes of the Andratx WTP.

Second phase actions include the construction of a new wastewater pumping station (pump) in Port d'Andratx, the renovation of the s'Arracó discharge chamber and the improving of the access road to it, and finally, the laying of new pipelines for purified and residual water. This last point will consist of:

- A terrestrial sewage pipe for purified water from the treatment plant to the connection point on land, with the existing underwater sewage outlet.

- A waste water discharge pipe from the new wastewater pumping station of Port d'Andratx to the treatment plant.

- Several pipelines in the Port d'Andratx to connect the existing sanitation network with the new wastewater pumping station.

- Replacement of the initial section of the s'Arracó waste water pipeline to the treatment plant.

Therefore, the planned actions must be adapted to the main increases in waste water and treated water generated in the centres associated with the sanitation system of Andratx, Port d'Andratx and s'Arracó.
