What does it consist of?

Sóller aims to recover one of its most iconic facilities: the "Infante Lois" municipal sports ground, located in the heart of Port de Sóller. The project entails a complete transformation to turn it into a modern, functional and sustainable space, capable of hosting sporting activities all year round and strengthening the tourist offer in the off-season.

The project

The Port de Sóller municipal sports ground is in a state of deterioration that limits its use and functionality. To reverse this situation, an ambitious renovation project is underway to recover the social and sporting value of this space for the municipality as a whole.

The proposal includes the creation of new areas for different disciplines, such as football, athletics, basketball and beach volleyball. Also included in the proposal are the improvement of the entrances, the construction of an underground car park and the adaptation of green spaces, all with a design adapted to the surrounding landscape and the Mediterranean climate.

One of the central objectives is to ensure continued use of the site throughout the year. The facilities are, therefore, intended to be versatile, inclusive and suitable for both sports and community activities. The technical plans to be drafted will establish the final layout of the spaces and the construction details.

The estimated budget for this first phase is over 500,000 euros. The Town Council expects this intervention to act as a driving force for the revitalisation of Port de Sóller, promoting healthy habits and broadening leisure and social interaction opportunities for residents and visitors.
