The goal of this project is to build a pedestrian promenade connecting Es Viver beach with the Figueretes promenade in Ibiza. The project aims to continue the existing pedestrian routes and improve accessibility in the coastal area. The objective is also to facilitate the maintenance and cleaning of the section. This infrastructure seeks to promote a respectful and conscious use of the coastline and the enhancement of Eivissa's coastal landscape.

The Figueretes area of Ibiza has limited tourist and recreational potential due to the lack of ongoing pedestrian access along the coast. Currently, the pedestrian routes leading to Es Viver beach and the Figueretes promenade are interrupted, making it difficult for residents and visitors to access the beach comfortably and safely. This discontinuity affects mobility and complicates the maintenance and cleaning of this coastal area, which is one of the city's tourist attractions.
In addition, the proximity of the area to the sea means that the infrastructures are exposed to adverse environmental conditions, such as waves and salinity, factors that can accelerate the degradation of materials and increase the need for constant maintenance.
In order to provide a solution to these problems, the construction of a pedestrian promenade connecting Es Viver beach with the Figueretes promenade is proposed. The infrastructure will be 3 metres wide along its entire length, with extensions at key points such as the existing concrete terrace.
In fact, these extensions will make it possible to make the most of the available space and make it more accessible to people with reduced mobility, as well as the to small vehicles for maintenance and cleaning work. Therefore, environmental, urban planning and universal accessibility aspects are taken into account to ensure that the promenade not only improves mobility and accessibility, but also contributes to the conservation and enhancement of Eivissa's coastal landscape.
Moreover, the choice of materials is a key aspect of the proposal. Solid synthetic wood slats will be used, a material that offers durability and sustainability, with low maintenance and high resistance to salinity.
Once completed, the promenade will become a key infrastructure to improve access and safety to the beaches and other points of interest. The project contributes to the environmental and social sustainability of the area. The goal is to improve connectivity, accessibility and promote a respectful and conscious use of the coastline, for the benefit of both residents and visitors to the island.
